Episode 92: Showing up Differently with Tosca DiMatteo

Jacklyn Osborne & Erika Brooks Season 1 Episode 92

Tosca DiMatteo grew up in Rochester, New York and relocated to two other states before moving to Brooklyn, where she has lived for 15 years. Growing up, she has always had an orientation of being of service to others in many different ways. Even her 20+ years of corporate life were spent mostly helping people. But being unfulfilled in the corporate world, and seeing new possibilities with the help of her coach, she shifted her entire career. She is now a transformational career and leadership coach, corporate whisperer, speaker, and consultant. She supports organizations to build human-centered cultures, and individuals to unapologetically honor their power, re/discover and show up as their authentic selves.

Highlights:

  • Career mission – help establish healthy workplaces and human-centered environment
  • Ideal workplace -- everybody feels heard, and seen and safe to unapologetically be themselves
  • Corporations -- with their resources and potential could tap their superpowers to do this world a lot of good by lifting and honoring their most essential resource: employees
  • Sharing power – come to the understanding that leaders can garner even better results by sharing power

It seems so utopian to look for a healthy workplace nowadays. But if you are in a place where you are kept small, you hold back, or you are not psychologically or physically safe, you have to walk away. Find a workplace where you can show up as your real self, where you are valued as a human being as just as much as a human doing. If you want to increase your awareness, and know what questions to ask, and ultimately how to break free from this pattern disserving you, learn from Tosca by following her on Instagram or at her website, toscadimatteo.com.
