As a child, Patricia Boulogne, or Dr. Pat, had shown particular interest and curiosity in science with the support of her father. Growing up, she was always fascinated with sunrise and sunset and was always interested in eating good food. Pursuing such interest, she studied pre-medicine but decided not to become a medical doctor during her internship. She observed that Western medicine does not seem to heal people as it should.
